Legend:
Joule: A unit of energy. The more Joules in a given time period, the more energy delivered.
Radiometric output: Expressed in milliwatts: A unit of power, 1000mW = 1 Joule/second
Efficiency: Greater the efficiency equals a more effective conversion to emitted light and less emitted heat.
Coverage area: Total coverage area may be interspersed with non light emitting space, therefore reduced effectiveness on the target.

• All devices were commercially available at the time of testing. 
• All devices were tested at a 3rd party lab in a 2 meter integrated sphere for total emitted light (radiometric output) irrespective of the device size, duty cycle, forward voltage, power and LED specification. 
• All devices were stabilized for temperature (run through several cycles) prior to testing. 
• All devices were tested for energy input (power supply) prior to testing to calculate the efficiency.
